Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about sessions, policies, and what to expect at the Park Hill studio โ€” including clinical massage, Thai bodywork, oncology-trained care, insurance and superbills, parking, and professional boundaries.

๐Ÿง  What is clinical massage, and how is it different from a spa massage?

Clinical massage is outcome-driven bodywork. Instead of a generic routine, each session starts with a short assessment of your posture, range of motion, and pain patterns, then uses deep tissue, myofascial, trigger point, and neuromuscular techniques to address the actual source of restriction. It's therapeutic first โ€” relaxation is the side effect, not the goal.

๐Ÿง˜ How does Thai-influenced bodywork compare to clinical or Swedish massage?

Thai-influenced work is done with assisted stretching, compression, and rhythmic rocking to open the hips, shoulders, and spine. Clinical massage focuses on specific tissue and pain resolution; Swedish focuses on circulation and calm. Many Denver clients combine them โ€” Thai-style stretching to restore mobility, clinical work to release the tissue holding it back.

๐ŸŽ—๏ธ Do you offer oncology massage in Denver?

Yes. Oncology-trained bodywork is available for clients in active treatment, recovery, or survivorship. Pressure, positioning, session length, and lymphatic considerations are adapted to your treatment stage, port or surgical sites, and energy level. If you're currently in treatment, please share that when booking so the session can be planned safely.

๐Ÿ“ Where are you located, and is there parking in Park Hill?

The studio is at 2313 Dexter St, Denver, CO 80207, in the Park Hill neighborhood. Free, unrestricted street parking is available directly in front of and around the studio โ€” no meters, no permit needed. Arrive a few minutes early and you'll find a spot easily.

๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ Do you teach private men's yoga or somatic mobility?

Yes โ€” 1-on-1 private sessions for men focused on somatic mobility, breath work, and nervous-system regulation. These are not group classes: the sequences are built around your body, your restrictions, and your goals, and pair well with ongoing clinical massage for lasting change.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ How do I book an appointment?

Book online any time through the booking page. Real-time availability is shown, and sessions are offered in 60, 90, and 120 minute formats. Online booking requires at least an 8-hour lead time โ€” for anything sooner, call or text directly.

๐Ÿงพ Do you take insurance, and can I get a superbill?

Insurance is not billed directly, but a detailed superbill or receipt can be provided on request for HSA/FSA reimbursement or submission to your insurer. Many plans and health spending accounts cover therapeutic massage โ€” just ask at the end of your session.

โŒ What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens โ€” there are no cancellation fees. Please cancel or reschedule using the link in your confirmation email as early as you're able so the time can be offered to someone else. If your session is very soon, call or text directly and it will be handled.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Is this a professional, non-sensual practice?

Yes, unequivocally. This is a licensed, professional therapeutic practice. Draping is used at all times, consent is confirmed before any change in pressure or area of work, and no sensual or sexual services are offered or tolerated under any circumstances. Requests of that nature end the session immediately. The studio is an inclusive, safe space for every body.
